Getting started
Do I need an account to read lessons?
No. Every lesson is free and readable without an account. You only need to sign up if you want to save progress, post comments, or earn XP.
Is iwantcoding.com really free?
Yes — the site is supported by non-intrusive advertising. We do not sell courses, e-books, or premium subscriptions.
How do I pick a track?
If you are new to programming, start with HTML, then CSS, then JavaScript. If you are a BSIS/BSIT student writing a capstone, jump to our Capstone Manuscript Guide. Browse the homepage for the full catalogue.
Accounts & login
I forgot my password. How do I reset it?
Click "Forgot password?" on the login page and enter your email. We will send a secure reset link.
How do I enable two-factor authentication?
After logging in, visit /two-factor. Scan the QR code with any TOTP app (Google Authenticator, Authy, 1Password), enter a code to confirm, and save the recovery codes shown.
Can I delete my account?
Yes. Email admin@iwantcoding.com from your registered email and we will delete your account within 30 days.
Lessons and code editors
The SQL/Python/PHP/TypeScript editor is slow to load. Why?
These editors run the language runtime inside your browser using WebAssembly. First load can take 5–15 seconds depending on your network. Subsequent lessons load instantly from cache.
Can I copy the code examples for my own project?
Yes. Code examples are free to use in personal and commercial projects. Please do not republish substantial portions of the lesson prose. See our Terms of Service for details.
I found an error in a lesson. How do I report it?
Comment on the lesson itself, or email admin@iwantcoding.com. We usually fix reported errors within a few days.

What can I post in the Discussion?
- Questions about the lesson.
- Corrections to the content.
- Tips that helped you understand a concept.
- Links to your own working examples (as long as they are relevant).
What is not allowed?
- Spam, self-promotion for unrelated products, or link farming.
- Harassment, hate speech, or personal attacks.
- Content that is illegal, obscene, or violates copyright.
- Answers that just say "google it" without adding value.
Comments from new users are held for admin review before appearing publicly. We reserve the right to remove any comment.

Why are there ads?
Advertising is what lets us keep the entire site free. We use Google AdSense and follow their policies. If an ad looks broken, inappropriate, or malicious, please screenshot it and email us.
